A little self care Sunday read! #meagsbookclub

I loved this book. Love story, family/friend relationships, war-era history, humour and tears. It had everything I love in a novel paired with a little personal connection to my own family. My great-grandfather was born on the Guernsey Island before immigrating to Canada! Plus the story behind the two authors who wrote this novel made it even more sweet and memorable.

The Netflix movie based on this book is close but not the same in details as usual but I still adored the characters and theme running through.

It was a book I was a little sad to return to the library because I enjoyed it so much. I can tell Iā€™m not the only one by the dogeared pages and worn cover. Something only book lovers would ever understand I think!
